Annabel (Remixes)
From starting out on a music course at the age of 16, Annabel teamed up with a colleague and wrote a ballad called “Sometimes” in 2007. The track “Sometimes” was picked up by an underground dance label called “Streetbeatz UK” who saw the potential in the track and felt it had the potential to be a dance crossover. Streetbeatz UK aimed to release it on the UK underground dance scene and guaranteed Annabel and her colleague there first official release. Streetbeatz UK started to promo “Sometimes” through the underground network during the summer of 2008 where it started creating a buzz and getting regular requests on the underground radio stations. After six months on the underground scene due to track reaction Streetbeatz UK felt that “Sometimes” had to be taken to the next level. In early 2009 Streetbeatz UK started a promotional club campaign DJ mail-out through Power Promotions. The initial response was very strong with 64% of the DJ’s awarding the track between 7 & 10 out of 10. Over the next few weeks the reactions continued to flow averaging out at 56% giving the same scores. The end of February 2009, Annabel with her debut single “Sometimes” was awarded a New Entry position at No.26 in Music Weeks Commercial Pop Promo Chart. The following week it jumped fifteen places to No.11 where it continues to gather momentum. Mid March 2009 “Sometimes” reached its highest positionin Music Weeks Commercial Pop Promo Chart at No.8 and to where this will lead is an exciting prospect…
